A very elegant, reclaimed, vintage pine fire surround that is of the perfect size for a living or dining room. The surround is very well made and has a pretty design with hand carved swags and bows along the cross bar. The corners of the fire have applied carved flower decorations and there is a carved border under the mantel. The legs feature reeded detailing. The fire is believed to date to approximately 1950 and is perfect for pairing with a cast iron fire insert. The pine has a waxed finish that highlights the woods attractive grain. The fire is well made but has some signs of use and wear, as expected of reclaimed items. The surround has some small scratches, knocks and signs of use. There are some knocks and marks to the crossbar and some stains on the feet. There is some discolouration where the wax has faded. The sides of the legs have some residue red paint. One foot has a small notch out of the corner. The fire has a deep rebate but this can be altered if required. Please contact us for details and a quote. Please see pictures for condition details.
