A very pretty reclaimed Victorian, hand carved, pine fire surround. The large surround is ideal for a living or dining room and has an abundance of period charm. The fire surround is very finely carved with a large centre panel featuring a rose, fruit and leaves. There is egg and dart detailing under the mantel and the fire opening has a beautiful repeating flower and leaf border that stands in relief. The fire is designed to be used with stone fire slips that will need to be supplied by purchaser. The pine has a waxed finish and it has a nice colour and grain. The fire surround is in very good antique condition with some small signs of age, as expected. The fire has some knocks and chips, especially to the mantel edges. The feet have some uneven edges and slight damage to the inner edge from where it was originally fitted. There are some small water stains to the feet. The pine has some scratches and marks. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire has a fantastic appearance, highlighting fine Victorian craftsmanship, and would be a wonderful feature in a period home.
