An impressive, very large and tall, reclaimed mahogany fire surround with mirror. The surround is likely to date to the early 20th Century and has a traditional period appearance with mouldings around the edges and panel detailing below the mantel. The surround has a mirror set into it with a bevelled edge. There is a shelf with corbels below the mirror. The fire surround is mahogany and has a varnished finish. The surround has some metal lugs for fixing to the wall. The surround is ideal for a very large room, perhaps in a hotel or similar. The surround is in good solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The mahogany has some deep scratches and knocks, purchaser may wish to sand and refinish the surround to suit. The surround has some chips and there is some slight damage to one foot. The sides of the surround have some residue paint and some scuffing from where it was originally positioned. One metal fixing lug has broken. The mirror has some imperfections to the glass. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround is very handsome and is of a fantastic size and will make an impressive showpiece for a room.
