A large, reclaimed, painted oak Edwardian fire surround. The surround has a design typical of the era, with three recessed panels with mouldings along the crossbar. The fire surround has a shelf under the panels, with decorative corbels. The fire surround is of a good size for a living or dining room. The pine has been painted in a grey/lilac but there are knocks, scratches, chips and stains and purchaser may wish to sand and re-finish the surround to suit. The fire surround is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The legs have some visible filler. There are some nails and screws in the wood. The wood has some small knocks and chips. Please see pictures for condition details. The surround is of a very good size and has a fantastic period look and will make a real feature for a fireplace.
