A tall and elegant, reclaimed, painted pine antique fire surround, dating to the Edwardian period. The surround has a classic period appearance with shelf detail below the mantel and a diamond design in the centre of the crossbar. The shelf edge has reeded detail and there are small corbels on each side. The pine has been painted in a cream colour but it does have some small chips and marks and you may prefer to sand and re-paint the surround to suit. The fire surround is very tall and of a good size for a living or dining room. The fire surround is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of age and light damage, as expected. The right hand foot had sustained a knock and some wood has broken away. The chip has been repaired but some slim cracks can be seen (last picture). The paint has some chips and there are some knocks to the pine, especially the surround edges. There is some missing paint to the back edges of the feet, base of the feet and the back edges of the legs. Please see pictures for condition details. The surrounds elegant and classic design makes it ideal for a period home and it will make a nice feature for a fireplace.
