A large, reclaimed, painted pine Edwardian fire surround. The surround has a classic and traditional style appearance with a curved panel along the crossbar and panel detailing at the top of each leg. The mantel has shaped ends that are deeper than the rest of the mantel. The fire surround is of a good size for a living or dining room, ideal for pairing with a fire inset. The pine has been painted white but there are knocks, chips, flaking and cracking to the paint and purchaser will need to sand and re-finish the surround to suit. The fire surround is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and light damage. The paint under the mantel has cracked where the mantel lifted. The mantel is now back in place but there are slight gaps between the mantel and the body of the fire. There are some knocks and chips to the pine, especially the mantel edges and there is some slight damage to one of the feet. The backs of the feet have notches out of them from where it was cut to fit over skirting board. Please see pictures for condition details. The surrounds simple and elegant design makes it ideal for a period or modern home and will make a nice feature for a fireplace.
