A reclaimed, decorative, elegant carved pine fire surround. The surround is a vintage reproduction of traditional designs of the late Victorian period. The fire surround has a very attractive appearance featuring Adam style designs with a large urn and acanthus leaves across the front bar. There is dentil moulding under the mantel and a decorative border. The legs have column style detailing and pretty designs. The pine has had a varnished or waxed finish. The fire surround could be paired with a cast iron insert or fire basket or used for decorative purposes. The surround is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of use, as expected. There are some small knocks and chips to the pine. The mantel has some staining and marks. The right hand edge of the mantel is missing some edging. This can be repaired free of charge for sale or we can offer a small discount if you do not want it repaired, please contact us for details. There is some separation to the joins of the decorative wooden pieces at the top of the legs. The feet have some scuffing and paint residue. Some slight paint residue can be seen around the edges of the decorative pieces. The fixing tabs have some tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has a very ornate look and is ideal for a period home, making a fantastic addition to a fireplace.
