Dimensions:
A reclaimed, decorative, elegant carved pine fire surround. The surround is in the style of a period design and it has intricate designs along the crossbar, featuring flowers, leaves and intertwined circles. The legs have a column style design and the legs are fluted and have carved details. The pine has a nice colour and it has been polished lightly with clear wax to bring out the lovely colour. The fire surround could be paired with a cast iron insert or fire basket or used for decorative purposes. The surround is in good reclaimed condition with some small signs of use, as expected. The pine has some small knocks, scuffs and chips. There are some wood knots in the pine and the crossbar has a section where the wood knots are darker than the rest of the pine (picture 3). There are some marks and residue paint to the sides of the feet and one of the sides of one of the feet is slightly lighter in colour. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has a very pretty look and would make a lovely addition to a fireplace.
