Code: FS0282
A very large, reclaimed, painted pine Edwardian fire surround likely to date to C.1900. The surround has a large mirrored top piece that is included in the price, that is designed to sit on top of the mantel. The surround has an ornate design, typical of the period, with columns on either side of the fire opening, with egg and dart detailing at the top of each column. The crossbar has a panel in the centre. The mirrored top section has an ornate shape to its top and also has columns.
The surround is sold as seen and in need of some restoration. The paint is peeling and flaking and is missing in areas and you will need to sand and re-finishing it to suit. The pine has some knocks and splits. One of the feet is missing a pine panel and the panels of both feet are loose. The mirrored top section has some cracks and splits to the pine and the top decorative section is loose. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has a very nice period look and once restored it will make a fantastic feature for a home.
