Code: FS0434
Dimensions:
An elegant reclaimed antique wooden bolection fire surround / fire trim, C.1900. The fire surround is heavy and well made and has a very elegant bolection moulding design. This style of surround does not have a mantel and surrounds a fire opening very nicely without being overbearing. The surround has been painted white but there are cracks, losses and marks to the paint and you may wish to sand and re-paint it to suit.
The fire surround is in solid condition with some signs of age and damage, as expected of reclaimed items. The top of the surround has damage, with cracks, splits and nail holes and the top corners have some damage. One split has been pinned with a nail to hold it down. You may wish to do some restoration to the top of the surround. The wood has some small knocks and chips. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has a very nice design and would make a lovely feature for a fireplace.
