Dimensions:
A very interesting stone reproduction fire surround made from fibreglass. The fire surround has been made in a traditional period / Gothic style with a Gothic arched opening with moulded edging. The mantel has a moulded edge. There is a triangular panel on each side of the crossbar with an acorn and leaf design within each. The outer edge of each leg has chamfer detailing. There are two fixing lugs on each side of the surround, on the legs, for fixings for attaching the surround to the wall.
The fire surround is in very good solid condition with some signs of use and wear, as expected. The back edge of the mantel has some small chips and knocks. The mantel has some damage to the left hand front corner (when looking at the surround), adding further character and an antique appearance. The finish has patina and weathering, adding to the character and period look. There are some small marks and scratches. The fixing lugs have some tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has a very nice Gothic look and would be ideal as a film or theatre prop or perhaps for garden décor etc.
