A petite reclaimed oak fire surround. The surround has an elegant classic period appearance with a pencil moulding panel in the centre of the crossbar and raised mouldings around the fire opening. The oak has been stripped and it has a very nice colour and grain. You could pair the surround with a cast iron insert. We have photographed the surround with an insert (last picture), for illustrative purposes. The cast iron insert IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE and is sold separately. The surround is in good solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The surround has some small knocks, surface splits and chips. The mantel has a larger surface split or groove. There is some paint residue remaining. The oak has some small scratches, marks and colour variation in places. The fixing tabs have some tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. The surround has a classic design, ideal for many interiors and it is of the ideal size for a bedroom or smaller reception room. The surround will finish a fireplace nicely and add great period character to a room.
