A very pretty, petite, original Victorian cast iron fire trim, suitable for surrounding a small wood burner or fire basket. The cast iron insert has a lovely serpentine inside edge that is complimented by beautiful flowers and leaves. The iron has been blacked and polished and has an attractive finish. There are two small fixing holes at the top for attaching the trim to the wall. The trim is in good, useable condition, however due to age there are some very slight signs of use and wear. The trim has some slight scratches and knocks. The left hand side has a very small notch from where it was originally fitted. The inside edges of the legs have an open slot, please see pictures for details. The back has surface rust as expected. A wonderful example of Victorian design, the trim is a very desirable item and is ideal for a period home.
