A very pretty, petite, original Georgian cast iron fire trim, suitable for surrounding a small wood burner or fire basket. The cast iron trim has been very finely cast and has a lovely arched inside edge that is complimented by scrolling leaves and a fan design. The iron has been blacked and polished and has an attractive finish. The trim has several holes designed for fixing screws for attaching the trim to the wall. Purchaser can use these holes for fixing the fire trim in place or, if preferred, we can provide blanking bolts sprayed black to fill the holes at no extra charge. We have photographed a bolt as an example, please see pictures for details. Please let us know at time of purchase if you would like the bolts. The trim is in good, useable condition, however due to its considerable age there are some signs of wear and use. The iron has some small casting marks, pitting, scratches and knocks. The base of the legs have some slight scuffing. The back of the trim has some surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The trim is a fantastic example of Georgian design, is a very desirable item and is ideal for a period home.
