A decorative, original, reclaimed cast iron fire trim, likely to date to C.1890-1900. The fire trim has a very nice period design with a repeating border with leaves and triangular designs with flowers. The cast iron has been blacked and polished. The trim is designed to fit around a fireplace opening with a wood burner or fire basket. The fire trim is in good antique condition with some signs of age and use, as expected. The fire trim has some small knocks, casting marks and pitting. The trim has some scuffs and marks. The back has surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire trim is a nice example of late Victorian design and its attractive and refined appearance would be suited to a period property, bringing character and antique charm to a hearth.
