A set of 25 original, reclaimed, Victorian salt glaze rope edge tiles. The tiles were used for path edging and could be used for this purpose again or perhaps to finish a flower bed or similar. The tiles have a thick rope top and base with arched shape to allow them to sink in to the ground. The tiles have a salt glaze and they have a rich dark orange colour. The tiles are in good useable condition with some signs of age and slight damage, as expected of antique items. The tiles have some knocks and chips and some of the tiles have breaks or chips to the base but this will not been seen when in the ground and does not affect their use. There are some natural cracks and some of the rope edges have knocks. The tiles have some slightly uneven edges, as expected of antique manufacture. Please see pictures for an example of the tiles condition. The tiles have a very nice look and are ideal for adding character to a garden or outside space.
