A fantastic oak, panelled, cupboard door dating to the Georgian period. The door is well made, with mortise and tenon joints, and has an abundance of rustic period charm. The external face of the door has raised and fielded panels and there are recessed panels on the internal face. The oak has a nice grain and texture that has been waxed or stained giving the door a rich colour. The external face of the door has a small brass handle. The door does have some signs of wear due to its considerable age, adding to its period charm. There are some patch repairs and slight filler noticeable. The base of the door has a wire attached to nails that can be removed by purchaser. The door has some knocks and chips, especially to the edges and corners. There are some small cracks, surface splits and holes. The hinges have some surface rust and the handle has some scratches and dents. The door height and width may need very slight levelling due to age. The door is solid, stable and useable. The cupboard door is ideal for a period or country / rustic home and is a wonderful antique item.
