An original, reclaimed, late Georgian 6 panel pine internal or external door. The large and very thick door has been well made, with mortise and tenon joints, and has a lovely period look. The door has the traditional six raised and fielded panels on each face and one side has a brass finger plate. The door has the original Georgian hinges that open to 90 degrees but purchaser will probably wish to replace these. The pine has been painted but the paint has chips, flakes and stains and purchaser will need to strip the door and re-paint it to suit. The door has been used internally but it is 5.4cm thick and could perhaps be used as an external door. Please contact us if you wish to use the door externally and we can check there are no draft gaps. Door hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser. The door is in solid condition but due to its considerable age there are signs of wear and use. The door does have some knocks, marks and small surface cracks, especially to the base edge and corners. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, if required. Please contact us for details and a quote. The width may need very slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a lovely appearance with traditional Georgian design. The door has an abundance of charm and character and would be a fantastic addition to a period home.
