A charming, original Georgian, stripped pine internal door. The 6 panel door is very well made with mortise and tenon joints and has an abundance of antique charm. The door is styled in the typical Georgian fashion with 6 rectangular cushioned panels with the two smallest panels at the top. The pine has an attractive colour and grain. The door currently has a thin baton at the top but it could be removed by purchaser to make it slightly shorter, please see measurements below for further details. The door is solid and well made but due to its considerable age there are character signs of use and some slight damage and some repairs. There are holes from hardware removal and several patch repairs and some filler. The pine has some scratches, marks and knocks, especially to edges and corners. Some thin surface splits are present but the door is stable. The hinges are broken and will need replacing. Door hardware will need to be provided by purchaser. The pine has been stripped and there are some stains and some residue caustic and dampness and therefore it cannot be painted. There is evidence of some small holes from woodworm that has been treated. The door height and width may need levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a lovely example of Georgian design that has great character, illustrating its age. The door is perfect for adding authentic antique charm to a home and would be ideal for a period property.
