A handsome reclaimed, original, Georgian six panel interior door. The door dates to C. 1720 and is solid, heavy and well made. The door has a traditional design, of the period, with six raised and fielded panels on one face and the other face has recessed panels. The door has been painted white but the paint is flaking and chipping and one panel has a patch of paint sanded off and the door will need to be sanded and re-painted by purchaser to suit. The door is in good antique condition with some signs of wear commensurate with age. There are some chips, slight dents and knocks, especially to the edges and corners. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The hinges will need replacing and hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser. The door width may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a lovely example of traditional Georgian design and it has fantastic character. The door is a very well made and desireable item, ideal for a period home.
