The door has a wooden latch on the back face. The door is in solid condition with many rustic features and character signs of age. The door has some deep splits and cracks that do not affect the structural integrity of the door. The oak has some knocks, marks and cut outs, mainly to the edges and corners. The door has some small holes and marks and there are some treated woodworm holes. One ledge has some splintering and scuffing. The door has had some repairs from a later period.
