A pair of reclaimed crittall doors in frame, for internal use. The doors are likely to date to the early 20th Century and have a great industrial look with a steel galvanised zinc construction. The doors have a solid section at the base and above this, each door has 6 glazed panels. Some of the glass panels were broken and have been removed and some panels are glazed with clear glass. The bottom glazed panels have safety wire and the other glass appears to be toughened as it has safety stickers but you would need to check the glass still meets current safety standards. We can re-glaze the doors so all the glass is complete and the same, for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The doors are set into a frame and the hinges are in full working order with the doors opening outwards. There is a handle, but please note there is no key. One door has a slide bolt at the base.
The doors are in solid condition but you will need to refurbish them before use. The paint has chipping and flaking and the doors will need stripping and re-finishing to suit. There are some patches of surface rust and tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. Crittall doors are currently extremely popular and the doors have a great industrial look, retaining much of their period charm. The doors, once refurbished, will make a stunning feature in a home.
