Two very attractive and unusual Victorian cast iron panels that have been converted into mirrors. The mirrors are SOLD SEPERATELY AND PRICED PER MIRROR. The panels were originally from a Victorian fire place and have very fine decorative features. The panels have urns, columns, leaves and bows, in the Adam style, typical of the late Victorian era. The centre of the panels have been fitted with mirror glass and the cast iron panels act as beautiful frames. The cast iron has been cleaned and lacquered giving a slightly silvery finish. The panels are Victorian and have some character signs of age. The tops have some rough and uneven edges where they have been removed from a fireplace. The backs have surface rust as expected. One mirror (left hand mirror) has some swirl marks from stripping and some scratches to the base. There are some small scratches and marks to both panels. Some scratches and misting can be seen on the glass. The unique mirrors are wonderful statement pieces for the home and are very desirable and unusual items, perfect for reclaimed antique fans.
