M1848 A PAIR OF ELEGANT MIRRORS MADE FROM GOTHIC VICTORIAN WINDOWS

Code: M1848

SOLD

A pair of very elegant mirrors made from reclaimed Victorian pine windows. The windows are in the original paint and they have a very stylish, antique finish. Each mirror is Gothic in design with arched detailing and panels formed by the pine glazing bars. The windows have been fitted with new mirror glass. The windows had previously had handles and were set into a frame. The frame is included in the listing and if preferred, you could fix the mirrors back into their frame and they would make stunning cupboard doors. Please see picture 2 for the windows set into the frame. Each mirror has a small roller ball at the top. The mirrors currently do not have any fixings but we will include metal tab fixings (see last picture) for you to attach as you wish.

The mirrors have been made using antique windows and have some character signs of age and wear, as expected. The glazing bars have some bows and there are some slight gaps in-between them and the mirror glass. Some silicone can be seen. The attractive original paint has flaking and chipping. The pine has some small splinters, chips and knocks. Each mirror has a hole where handles have been removed. One side of the frame does not have hinges and you will need to add them if you prefer to have the mirrors in the frame. The frame has some notches out of it. Please see pictures for condition details. The mirrors are very elegant décor items and the pine has great antique character. The mirrors are ideal for making a lovely feature in a home.
