A length of reclaimed oak handrail. The handrail is ornate with a carved ogee style profile and was originally used in Winchester Cathedral. The handrail has metal brackets attached to the back face for fixing the handrail to the wall. The oak has a good colour and nice grain and the oak has been waxed or stained. The handrail is reclaimed and has some signs of use. The handrail has some small knocks and chips and there is one larger knock. There are some scratches, some colour variation and some dark staining. The wall brackets have some tarnish and slight surface rust. One end has a fixing rod attached that once fitted into another piece of handrail. Please see pictures for condition details. The handrail has a very nice, traditional appearance and it is of a good size, ideal for a home project.
