A pair of reclaimed antique diamond cast iron windows. The windows are likely to date to the Mid-Victorian period, C. 1850 and have a fantastic period design with glazed diamond and triangular sections. The windows are glazed with clear glass, however some panels are missing, broken or cracked and purchaser will need to ask a glazier to re-glaze these. The windows could also be converted and glazed with mirror glass, making fantastic feature mirrors. The paint has chips and flaking and there is surface rust and purchaser may wish to strip and re-finish the windows to suit. The windows have fixing lozenges but the black painted window has one broken one. The windows do have some signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed items. There are some knocks and chips to the iron and the paint has flaking, showing some surface rust. The black window has one hinge that has surface rust and is seized and the other has broken off. The white window has no hinges. There is some paint on the glass. One of the lozenges of the black painted window is broken. Please see pictures for condition details.
