A pair of reclaimed, antique, metal opening windows. The heavy metal windows have a nice appearance and are ideal for a cottage. Each window has a catch with handle and a stay bar. The sides of the frame have metal bars for fitting into a wall. The windows have been glazed with clear glass and they are leaded to form diamond designs. The windows are in reclaimed condition with some signs of wear and age. The sides of the windows have rough edges and there is some surface rust. The windows do open but they are quite difficult to open and shut and you will need to carry our some work to allow them to open and shut more easily. The paint has some chipping, flaking and scratches. One glass pane has a crack that occurred after the first photos were taken (see last picture) and one has a chip to the corner (picture 9). Some of the glass has a bow, perhaps due to a weakness in the lead. Please see pictures for condition details. The windows have great period character and are ideally suited to a cottage and would make a lovely characterful item for the home.
