A reclaimed resin bust of Michelangelo's Aurora, "Roman Goddess of the Dawn". The original Aurora was commissioned by Pope Julius II in 1513, the height of the Italian Renaissance. The bust is a fine quality representation in a creamy white resin. The bust features Aurora in a turned position. The bust is mounted on an elegant stand and the bust can be swivelled while the stand stays in position. The bust is in good solid condition with some small signs of wear, as expected of reclaimed items. There is a chip to the top of the headscarf. There is a surface crack at the back of the bust. The resin has some marks and stains adding to the antique feel. Please see pictures for condition details. The bust is very elegant and would make a very nice décor item.
