Code: M2374
Dimensions:
A very attractive, reclaimed, cast iron window. The window is reclaimed and modern, in a period style, and has an arched top and decorative detail in the centre. The window has several panels that are recessed on the back face to allow for glazing. The window is supplied with clear glass but the glass IS NOT FITTED and you will have to get the glass fitted should you wish to use it (see last two pictures). The window could also be converted into a mirror if you ask a glazer to fit it with mirror glass. The iron has a reddish brown metal primer applied to it, ready for you to finish it to suit. The top and sides of the window have protruding fixture tabs.
The window is in good solid condition with some signs of use, as expected. The cast iron has some small knocks, casting marks and pitting. There is some residue paint that can be seen. The glass provided has some small chips to the edges and corners. Please see pictures for condition details. The cast iron window will make a very nice feature for a project or could be made into a pretty mirror or used as a décor item without glazing.
Height from base to top of tab on arch 75.5cm
Width from side tab to side tab (middle and bottom tabs) 50cm
Thickness 3cm
Rebate for glazing 2.1cm
