A pair of fine quality reclaimed Victorian cast iron brackets. The brackets have an elegant appearance with scrolling detail and a nicely shaped edge. The brackets are ideal for shelf supports or similar and the top arm has a lip to hold a shelf in place. The brackets have tabs with holes for fixings so you can attach them to the wall. The iron is bare and has been polished and ready for you to apply a finish or paint to suit. Each bracket has a registered design number, RD194184, dating the brackets to 1892. The brackets are in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age, as expected. One bracket is slightly shinier than the other. The iron has some casting marks and pitting. Each arm that attaches to the wall has some residue plaster or concrete on it. There is some slight paint residue in places. Please see pictures for condition details. The brackets are very pretty and are a nice Victorian find, ideal for adding character to a project.
