A unique, slate topped, rustic oak kitchen island. The base of the kitchen unit has been made using attractive reclaimed oak, with a thick frame and oak planked shelving, sides and back. The well made, strong, base has been topped by a thick and heavy reclaimed slate slab. The oak has been sealed with dead flat matt varnish to allow the beautiful oak colour and grain to show through and the slate top has been oiled. The kitchen island has a wonderful rustic appearance and is not only stylish but also has an upper and lower shelf for storage of plates, pans or other kitchen items. The island is made using reclaimed materials and therefore has some character knocks and marks. The slate top has some slight knocks and a cut out to the front edge. There are some small filled holes and some light scratches from use. The oak is reclaimed and has some slight marks, wood knots and small holes and colour variation. The kitchen island is a fantastic bespoke item with style and a good amount of storage and the perfect showpiece for a kitchen or business.
