A beautiful, rustic, oak 10 seater dining table. The table has been made using fine quality reclaimed oak that sits on a steel base that is an exclusive design, commissioned by us, to compliment the beautiful oak top. The rustic table top has been made using just 3 wide oak planks which is an unusual and special feature as planked tables are often constructed using several thinner planks. The attractive steel base has an elegant Gothic feel with curved legs and slim spindles and it has a thick oak stretcher. The steel has been sprayed black and has a fine finish.
The oak top is of a particularly high quality and has been made in a traditional fashion, jointed with wooden plates and slots in the sides of the planks, held with quality oak dowels that can be seen, adding character charm to the table top. The oak has been stained and then sealed with 3 coats of hardwearing satin varnish. The professional finish looks fantastic, highlighting the beautiful grain of the oak, and also offers great protection. The varnish can take some spillages and traffic and therefore makes it practical for daily life. The varnish is easily available should any maintenance be required.
The oak is reclaimed and has some lovely character features that adds to its rustic charm. There are wood knots, small cut marks and natural marks expected of reclaimed wood. The planks have some surface splits that do not affect the structural integrity of the table top. There is some natural colour variation. Please see pictures for details.
