A reclaimed six panel oak door. The door is of a superb quality and is in the Arts and Crafts style, with six recessed panels. The oak is very attractive with medullary rays and the panels are made using older oak that has been quarter sawn. Although some of the panel wood may be older, we believe the door was made approximately 40 years ago and it has been well made with mortise and tenon joints. The door has three heavy, good quality, brass hinges. The door has had a varnished finish at some point but if required, purchaser could sand and re-finish the door to suit. The door has been used internally but could be converted for external use, please contact us should you require any information regarding this.
The door is in very good reclaimed condition with some signs of use, as expected. The door has some small knocks, surface splits, holes and chips. There are some holes and marks left from hardware removal. The oak has some scratches, some white residue and slight discolouration in areas. Some splits and wood knot holes have been filled. The door height may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is of a fantastic quality and of a design that would suit both period and modern interiors, making it a very desirable reclaimed item.
