A reclaimed, cottage style, oak front door and frame. The door has a rustic design and has been made using oak planks with reeded detailing. The door has a ledge and brace construction. The oak has been sanded to bare wood, ready for a finish by purchaser, with an oil suited to outdoor use. The door has bolts, latches, key hole escutcheons and circular handle but purchaser will need to provide and fit a lock and hinges and fit the hardware provided if it is to be used. The existing door furniture is blackened iron and has a Gothic style appearance. The door is very solid and heavy but has some slight damage and signs of wear due to age. The door hardware has left some wear marks and small indentations, especially where the circular handle was situated but this can be refitted by purchaser and would cover some of the wear. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge if required. Please contact us for details and a quote. The frame has some slight damage and knocks and a nail in the wood. The edges have some chips and there are some light scratches and colour variation to the oak. Slight surface rust to the door hardware. The door has a fantastic, cottage style, rustic appearance and is a solid and well made item that would be ideal for adding character to a home.
