A very large, handsome, reclaimed Arts and Crafts oak front door and frame. The door dates to the late Arts and Crafts period, approximately 1925 and was reclaimed from an Arts and Crafts mansion. The door is very heavy and is well made with mortise and tenon joints. The door has a fantastic look with 12 panels on each face, all surrounded by chamfered edging. The frame is solid and sturdy and has a wide top. The oak has been sanded to bare wood and is ready for finishing by purchaser with perhaps an exterior varnish, wax or oil to suit. Door hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser. The frame does not have a sill but we can add one for an extra £25, please let us know if you require this service. The door is reclaimed and therefore has some signs of use and wear. There are some small marks and colour variations from cleaning. The door and frame have some holes and marks left from hardware removal. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. There are some knocks, small holes, chips and scuffs. There are some surface splits that do not affect the structural integrity of the door. The door is a truly stunning example of Arts and Crafts design and a door of this size is very desirable and would add fantastic character to a home.

Please feel free to contact us to ensure the door will fit your home as size is approximate.
