A handsome, Gothic style, reclaimed solid oak cottage front door. The door is heavy and very well made, with mortise and tenon joints. The door is planked and has an arched moulding and vertical cover strips creating a Gothic style appearance. The door has a small panel that is glazed with a large green stained glass bullseye and there is a brass grill behind it. The door has a heavy cast iron door knocker and small nail for hanging a decorative wreath. The oak has recently been sanded and varnished and it has an attractive colour, highlighting the wood grain. The door is in very good, solid condition with some small signs of use, as expected of reclaimed items. The door has a lock but no key and this will therefore need to be changed by purchaser. There are some light scratches and marks to the oak. The knocker and brass grill have some tarnish. There are some small surface splits that do not affect the structural integrity of the door. The edges and corners have some light knocks and chips. There is a small crack in some of the lead joins around the glass but they are solid. The door width may need very slight levelling. The door is in great condition and has a very attractive appearance that would be perfect for adding style to a cottage or Gothic style home.
