A very handsome, reclaimed, Arts and Crafts oak front door. The door, by Ebdons of Croydon, is solid and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The door has a stunning design with several small panels surrounded by thick rails with a chamfered edge on the external face. The door has a small panel that is fitted with clear bullseye glass. There is a decorative metal letter box plate that includes a knocker. The lock will need to be changed as there is no key. The oak has been lightly sanded and will need a wax or stain finish, to be applied by purchaser, suitable for exterior use. The door is in very good reclaimed condition with some small signs of age and wear. There are some small knocks and chips and there are some marks where hardware has been removed, for example under the bullseye glass. There are some light water stains, mainly on the external face of the door and some discolouration to the base. Some slight tarnish on the metal letter box plate. The width may need slight levelling. The door is a lovely example of Arts and Crafts design and is very well made, making it perfect for adding character to a home.
