A very large, handsome, reclaimed oak external door. The door is very heavy and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The door has a traditional appearance with vertical panels and an arched top. The door has a simple vertical metal letter plate. The front face of the door has a faded stain or stripped finish and the back of the door has a darker wax or stained finish. The door has some colour variation and discolouration and the door will need sanding and re-finishing by purchaser to suit. The door is in good solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. There are some holes and marks left from hardware removal. One edge has a small metal plate attached. The oak has some knocks, scratches and marks. The edges and corners have some uneven areas. The letter plate and hinges have some tarnish. The door has a slight twist of approximately 6mm but using a 3rd hinge will help the door sit well. Please contact us should you require any information about this. The door height and width may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a substantial and handsome reclaimed item that would be perfectly suited to a period house or cottage / rustic property and would add great character to a home.
