A handsome reclaimed, Art Deco, Gothic style oak front door. The door is very well made and has a very nice panelled design. The doors has 18 panels, 17 of which are solid and one with yellow glass. The top panels have been shaped to form a Gothic style arch and the thick oak around the recessed panels have chamfered edges. The glass DOES NOT meet current safety standards and MUST be changed. We can change the glass for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has an iron letterplate with door knocker and the internal face has an iron bolt at the top and bottom of the door. One lock has been removed but one lock remains and has a key. The front face of the door has been stripped and the back face has been oiled or varnished at some point.
The door is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of use and age, as expected. The door has some small knocks, surface splits and chips. The door has some holes and marks from hardware removal. The lock hole on the side of the door has had some wood patched into it. The iron door furniture has some slight tarnish and surface rust. The oak has some stains and some slight colour variation. The door height may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a very handsome appearance and it would make a fantastic statement piece for a home.
