A very handsome, reclaimed, oak external door and frame. The door is heavy and well made with 17 recessed panels with chamfer detailing around them and the top panels form a slight arched shape. One panel near the top of the door is ready for glazing. We can glaze the door for an EXTRA charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The base of the door has a drip bar. The door is set into a thick oak frame with sill. The oak has been sanded to bare wood and is ready for you to finish it to suit.
The door is in solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed items. The door is a little to short for the frame and there is a gap at the base (see last picture for details). We will supply an oak baton, included in the price, for your carpenter to fit to the base of the door so there will be no gap. The door has been propped with a wooden wedge for the photographs. The base of the frame has some surface cracks and splits. There is some slight damage to one of the base corners of the door. The door and frame have holes and marks from hardware removal. The oak has some scratches and marks and the frame and door have some knocks and chips. The letterplate has tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is of a good quality and has a very handsome appearance, perfect for adding character and charm to a home.
