A reclaimed oak front / external door with a pine frame. The arched door and frame have a traditional and handsome appearance and the door has inner arch detailing and panels created using oak cover strips. The door has a small panel, fitted with clear bullseye glass. YOU MUST check the glass meets current safety requirements and you MUST change it if it does not. The external face of the door has a drip bar and there is a traditional iron letter plate with pull handle. The back of the door is planked and has a ledge and there is an iron slide bolt at the bottom. The oak appears to have had a varnished or stained finish but you may wish to sand and refinish the door to suit. The door is paired with a pine frame. The frame has been restored and the side posts replace as they had rotted. The door is not hung to the frame and although it currently has hinge slots cut into the right hand side (when looking at the door from the inside) we could patch repair the hinge slots for an extra charge and then you could hang the door the other way. Please contact us for a quote to patch repair the hinge slots.
The door is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age, as expected. There are some holes and marks from hardware removal and there is no key for the one lock remaining and it will need replacing and other locks adding. The door has some small marks, chips and small holes and there is a crack to part of the outer arch of the door, on the top left hand side when looking at the doors external face. The oak has some stains, scuffs and discolouration. There is some slight damage to the base edge of the door, seen on the internal face. The frame has some scuffs and knocks. The iron door furniture has some slight surface rust and tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a nice traditional design and it would be ideal for a cottage or country home.
