A very attractive and unusual reclaimed Arts and Crafts internal door. The door comprises of a thick pine core with an oak face applied to one side and mahogany on the other. The oak face has been made using reclaimed oak wall paneling and has fine detailing. There are 8 flat faced panels and detailing typical of the Arts and Crafts era. The other face of the door is mahogany and has a further 8 flat panels with bolection moulding. There are small escutcheons on both faces, please note the door has no key. The door is very thick and solid. The door is suited for internal use and may perhaps be ideal for a cupboard or wardrobe. The door is a reclaimed item and therefore has some slight signs of wear. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. Some slight knocks, chips and areas where the varnish has worn and there are some larger chips to some moulding on the mahogany face. There is some tarnish to the metal door furniture. One edge of the door has a crack to the applied wooden face but this does not affect the structural integrity of the door. The door has a very attractive appearance and is solid and well made. An ideal door for adding character and period charm to a home.
Please note: We have several doors with a similar design, some of which have differing wooden faces. Please see our other listings for details.
