An attractive and unusual reclaimed Arts and Crafts internal door. The door comprises of a thick pine core with an oak face applied to one side and pine panel on the internal face. The oak face has been made using reclaimed oak wall paneling and has fine detailing. There are 8 flat faced panels and detailing typical of the Arts and Crafts era. The other face of the door is painted pine and has two large flat panels. This face has a metal covered escutcheon, please note the door has no key. The door is very thick and solid. The door is suited for internal use and may perhaps be ideal for a cupboard or wardrobe due to the differing designs on each side. The door is a reclaimed item and therefore has some slight signs of wear. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. Some slight knocks, chips and areas where the varnish has worn. The back face has some deep scratches and there is a split where the door handle was removed. The back will need stripping and refinishing by purchaser. The bottom right panel has some shrinkage and marks. The door height and width may need very slight leveling. There is some tarnish to the metal door furniture. The door has a very attractive appearance and is solid and well made. An ideal door for adding character and period charm to a home.
Please note: We have several doors with a similar design, some of which have differing wooden faces. Please see our other listings for details.
