A rustic, antique, reclaimed oak plank internal door, ideal for a cottage or country home. The door is well made, solid and heavy and has an abundance of rustic charm. The door comprises of five large oak planks with four ledges on the back face of the door. The oak has been wire brushed and it could have a wax or stain applied by purchaser to suit. The oak has a great deal of character and has a fantastic grain. A particular feature of the door is the 4 large straps on the back face with pin hinges. The iron straps have a traditional appearance and have been painted black. After many years of use the door is now suited to internal use but it could possibly be converted for external use. If the door was to be used externally it would need to have cover strips applied to cover the thin gaps between the planks to stop the weather coming through. Please contact us should you require any advice about converting the door for exterior use. The door is in solid condition with many rustic features and character signs of age. The door has some splits and cracks that do not affect the structural integrity of the door. The oak has some knocks and marks, mainly to the edges and corners. The door has some holes and marks where hardware has been removed. We could patch repair larger holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The iron door straps have some very slight surface rust, mainly near the pins. There is a slight scoop to one plank at the base of the door. The oak has scratches and colour variation. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a great antique, rustic look, ideal for adding charm to a cottage or rustic property.
