A very elegant and pretty, small, reclaimed antique internal oak door with glazing. The door is likely to be French and has an ornate design with four recessed panels, with two of panels of the front face of the door having an attractive carved repeating design. The top of the door has been glazed with clear glass but PLEASE NOTE THE GLASS DOES NOT MEET SAFETY REQUIREMENTS and MUST be changed. We can replace the glass with toughened glass, for an extra charge. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The front face of the door has a pretty handle with scrolling detailing. The back face of the door has a wooden pole above and below the glass panel, likely to have been used for hanging a curtain. The door is in good solid condition with some light damage and signs of age, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The oak has some scratches, marks, stains and discolouration and purchaser may wish to sand and re-finish the door to suit. The door has some knocks, chips and some holes and marks where the hinges and one handle has been removed. There is some damage to the outside edge near the handle and there is a surface crack to one of the stiles. The oak has some unevenness to the surface in places. The handle has some surface rust. The door width may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a very nice item with great character and an unusual and pretty design. The door is a desirable item and it will make a fantastic showpiece within the home.
