A very nice, rustic, reclaimed old elm plank internal door. The door has a charming rustic appearance and comprises of five elm planks with old nails or stud detailing across the door. The back face of the door has four ledges. The door retains the original iron door hardware including a traditional thumb latch and strap hinges with a looped end for a pin hinge. The hinges may need changing by purchaser. The wood has a very interesting grain and a nice faded colour that adds to its rustic charm. The door is well constructed and solid but it is reclaimed and therefore has some signs of use and wear, as expected. The door has some knocks, chips, slight damage and wood knot holes. There are some thin surface splits that do not affect the structural integrity of the door. There is evidence of woodworm that has been treated. There are some deep scratches and the elm has some colour variation and some marks. The iron door furniture has some surface rust and tarnish. Door height may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a very charming appearance with a great deal of rustic character and is an interesting and attractive item for a rustic or country home.
