A very old, rustic, reclaimed oak and elm plank barn door. The large and heavy door comprises of thick elm planks  attached to an oak frame with ledge and brace construction. The door has two iron strap pin hinges but please note the pin section is not included. The door has a great deal of rustic character and has a very interesting appearance with wood knots and a lovely grain. The door is sold as seen and does have wear, damage and signs of its considerable age and therefore the door would now be ideal for making into a sliding internal door or for a feature wall or rustic panel. There is evidence of treated woodworm. The door has knocks, chips and surface cracks and the base has splits, softness and some damage, including to the base of the cover strips and elm planks. The wood has some discolouration and dark staining. The iron door hardware has surface rust. There are some holes and marks left from hardware removal. The top right hand corner has had a patch repair. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a great deal of rustic character making it a fascinating and unusual interior item that would be sure to make a great showpiece in a rustic or country home.

Please note we have a similar door available for sale, please see our reference DI0787 for details.
