A very large, reclaimed, handsome classic Arts and Crafts style external door. The door is made of a hardwood, we believe it to be mahogany, and is of a quality construction. The door has a traditional Arts and Crafts style with vertical panel design and raised cover strips. The top of the door has arched detailing. The front of the door has two large decorative door straps with a Gothic style. The door has a small panel near the top, glazed with clear glass and below this, a brass letter plate. The base of the door has a drip bar. The door has been painted, grey on the external face and white on the internal face. The paint is in reasonable condition but there are some knocks and scuffs and purchaser may prefer to sand and re-paint the door to suit.
The door is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of use, as expected. The door has some small knocks and chips. There are some holes, marks and missing paint where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, if required, please contact us for details and a quote. The paint has some scuffs and chips. The letter plate has some tarnish. The door height may need some slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is very large and heavy and its size makes it a very desirable reclaimed item. The door has a handsome period appearance and will make a fantastic statement piece for a home.
