A pair of very handsome, reclaimed, solid oak doors. The doors, dating to C.1910, are large and heavy and have been well made. Each door has a lovely period design with 1 over 2 panels. The top panels are raised and fielded and the bottom panels are recessed. The doors were originally used individually but they are of the same size and can be used as a pair. The top panels could be removed and converted for glazing, if preferred. We can convert the panels and glaze them for an extra charge, please contact us for a quote and further information. The oak has a beautiful colour that highlights the fantastic grain and medullary rays. The doors have a varnished finish but the varnish is old and breaking down and you may wish to sand and re-finish the doors to suit.

The doors are in good solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The doors have some knocks and chips, especially to the edges and corners. There is some colour variation and staining to the oak. There is some slight residue from green spray paint that is likely to improve with further sanding. The hinge slots are cut quite deeply into the side of the doors. There are some holes and marks left from door furniture removal and there is a deep slot where a lock has been removed. We can patch repair any hinge slots or the lock slot, if required, for an extra charge. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The doors have had some patch repairs to hinge slots that have been carried out to a high standard. The door heights may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a great appearance and would make a stunning feature for a home.
