A pair of attractive reclaimed oak doors with frame. The doors, originally made for a church hall, date to circa 1910 and are finely made with gunstock stiles and mortise and tenon joints. Each door has a large raised and fielded panel at the base and four small panels for glazing at the top. We can quote to glaze the doors for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements. One door has a letterbox. The frame is solid and heavy and has two windows that are situated above the doors and that can be opened and have stay bars. The doors currently open outwards but could be converted. We can covert the doors to open inwards for an extra charge. The outer face of the door could also be used as the internal face but the windows set into the frame would need to be turned around. The cross bar of the frame with the windows can also be removed if preferred. Please contact us for advise on converting or changing the current door set up and for a quote. The doors have a lock but currently no key. We will commission a key for purchaser. The doors are sanded to bare wood and the inner side of the frame has a varnished finish. The doors are reclaimed and do have some signs of use and wear. The frame sill has deteriorated and will probably need to be removed. There are deep scratches and marks to the side of the frame but some of these will likely be hidden when installed. There are some small surface splits, knocks and chips in the wood. There are some small holes where door hardware has been removed. The doors are very attractive and unusual and are very well made. The doors are ideal for adding character to a period home.
